No Transport Strike in Cebu

April 14, Cebu City -- Cebu's transport groups are not joining the nationwide transport strike scheduled on April 18 and 19.

Jaime Moncada, president of Alyansa sa Nagkahiusang Drayber ug Operator Alang sa Reporma (Andar), said they are not supporting the strike organizers' demand for a P1 provisional fare increase for public utility jeepneys (PUJs).

Moncada told DYAB Radyo Patrol that they are instead asking the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to hasten the approval of their petition asking for a P3 fare hike. [30]
